To do that we are hosting TWO series of beginner/open level waacking workshops with FOUR different instructors and TWO SEPARATE DATES.

[ B I O ]

Penny Ly is a street & club style dancer based in Seattle. She is part of kiki ballroom House of Android. Penny is one of the original waackers of Seattle and has been a fierce contributor to the Seattle Waacking scene. She has been dancing and battling in the Northwest competitive scene since 2012 and is versed in Waacking, House, Hip Hop and other various styles.

Penny is continuing her growth in waacking through her travels and learning from renown whackers/waackers around the world such as Viktor Manoel, Archie Burnett, Tyrone Proctor, Kumari Suraj, Princess Lockeroo, Lorena V, Lip J, and many more. Her dynamic energy is accentuated by her colorful expressions every time she hits the floor

[ B I O ]

Lydia Tam aka Chawbie has been hustling and waacking for over two years and is a young and growing dancer. She has trained and learned waacking from notable members of the Seattle waacking community such as Penny & Tracey.

She has placed in many battles, her most recent ones are Top 8 at Rapitality II 2020 (Hanoi, Vietnam), Finalist at Strick Out Season II 2019 (Tacoma), Top 8 at The Bridge Music Project 2019 (Olympia), Top 16 at Adapt 2019 (Portland), Top 8 at 4Elements of Hiphop 2019 (Vancouver, BC), and 7-to-Smoke Wild Card at Elevate 2019 (Portland). In addition to placements.

In addition to battling, she has also performed waacking at MoPOP Hiphop History Month 2018 & 2019, performed twice at DiggsDeeper PDX 2019, and has performed at the Hanoi Dance Show 2019.

Her goal as a waacker is to spread awareness of waacking culture and help grow the Seattle waacking community.

There should be street parking all around the studio, however there are rare spots on a Saturday to be very honest! Give yourself give yourself an extra 10 minutes to find some in case! We recommend carpooling or public transit!

There is 1 restroom at the Beacon

STAIRS/ RAMPS

There is one step that is in the middle of the studio. You must go in and out of the studio to access the top and bottom step! The entrance is on King St. with a gradual incline.
