October 5, 2018

The Intersection Between Hip Hop Culture & Education is an interactive lecture series and musical call to action created by Jahi focusing on the life affirming aspects of Hip Hop from an academic, educational as well as cultural lens. This interactive dialogue, presentation and performance explores the idea of musical diets, and represents Hip Hop as a world culture with life affirming principles.

Come see Jahi, the lead MC of PE 2.0, created by Chuck D, of the iconic rap group, Public Enemy, as he gives a lecture and performance about the relationship between art, education and hip hop. He has toured internationally for two decades, released 13 independent albums, and one on a major label. Jahi is also the program manager for Oakland Unified School District’s African American Male Achievement, the leading organization in the US serving African American young men.
