CRAZE
Miami, FL
djcraze.com

If the first thing you know about Craze is that he’s the only solo DJ to win the DMC World Championships 3 times over, prepare to get yourself schooled. From day one, every uphill battle that Craze faced was met with intense adversity; every kick while he was down only served to help him rise up even stronger. You want proof? Fine.

His family fled Nicaragua for the US when he was 3 in the midst of a civil war and suffered through Hurricane Andrew in ’92. Craze was a total nerd through his teenage years. But while others would chalk this up to a lifetime of hurt, Craze let it fuels his passion. By the age of 20, Craze had won his first DMC World Championship. Two more consecutive wins later, he was (and remains to this day) the only three-time winner of the world’s most respected international DJ competition, the DMC World Championship – earning the attention of Time Magazine who proclaimed him “America’s Best DJ.” From Jamaica to Australia, Japan to Nicaragua, Craze has toured the world over, stunning audiences and DJs alike with his top-notch showmanship and masterfully genre-bending sets.

One of those worldwide treks happened to be Kanye West’s 2008 Glow In The Dark Tour, where Craze accompanied West as his stage DJ across the globe. Always evolving, Craze founded Slow Roast Records with Kill The Noise, an imprint of the infamous Fool’s Gold Records (A-Trak, Kid Cudi, Danny Brown) in 2010. With two releases in 2012 – the Selekta EP and Deeper with Codes, he didn’t slow down and instead in April of 2015, released a 4 track EP with the title track called “Baby Gurl” featuring a young superstar on the rise named Troyboi. The EP also boasted a bonus track with Miami rap legend Trick Daddy called “Bow Down”. As if that wasn’t enough it was also the year, that he brought us one of the most prolific DJ routine videos to date: “New Slaves”.

With greatness at the forefront of all Craze does, in 2016 he started a DJ super group with Four Color Zack called 2¢ with the primary goal of creating and presenting the most exciting DJ show on the planet. Since then they have been taking their brand of witty wordplay and impeccable DJ skills to the masses through their mixtapes and live shows which can be summarized as a true tour de force.

This year has already seen the release of his EP entitled K.O.S. Knowledge of Self on Slow Roast Records and his Master Class routine video for Serato, “I Got The Juice” where he revealed not just his DJ skills, but his comedic chops, which begs the question, is there anything Craze can’t do? Always humble and putting the performance above all else, Craze has earned his place as an international ambassador of the art of real djing. So when someone asks you “Whatchu know about DJ Craze?”, feel free to let them know a thing or two.

Kyral x Banko
Denver, CO
soundcloud.com/kyralxbanko

Defined by an unrelenting pursuit of innovation through sound, Kyral x Banko have forged an identity and sonic signature that transcends contemporary bass music.

Graduates of the University of Illinois, Collin Burdick and Bennett Kohler met in 2012. Burdick, an already well-known DJ on campus, quickly meshed with Kohler, who had been producing hip-hop beats on DAW’s since high school. Fueled by their musical backgrounds and a shared desire to outvie modern electronic genres, the two formed Kyral x Banko (or ‘KxB’) shortly before graduating.

Their sound has grown from heavy trap roots to a more experimental, inventive approach that incorporates both bass and hip-hop elements. Original rap vocals, live drums and a barrage of transitions through tempos and genres fuel the unrivaled energy of their stage performance. Inspired by trailblazers like Skrillex, Peekaboo, and Alix Perez, KxB strives to evolve every sound they create to its limits with the goal of delivering a truly unique sonic experience to listeners.

Their style, sound and personality can only be described as “Snoitch,” an all-encompassing term born out of the zesty and eclectic KxB universe. The term has proved applicable throughout their boisterously fun brand, and is also the title of their upcoming EP on Liquid Stranger’s WAKAAN imprint.

Kyral x Banko has been recognized by notable names in Bass music, such as A-Trak, Slumberjack, NGHTMRE, HeRobust, Cut Chemist, Buku, and DJ Craze. The duo has current and upcoming collaborations with Holly, SoDown, Spades, Mersiv, and MZG, the latter of which (‘Boolin’) has amassed 140k+ streams on Spotify. KxB has released with ƱZ’s Quality Goods Records (‘Focus’ EP), Jadu Dala (‘Boinger’) and more, while garnering praise from outlets like Dancing Astronaut, This Song Is Sick and EDM.com. KxB has toured nationally and appeared heavily on the festival circuit, including stops at WAKAAN, Spring Awakening, Freaky Deaky and North Coast Music Festivals.

With a community of peers and adoring fans behind them, KxB continues to flesh out and explore a progressive universe of their own in-house design. One thing is certain: These guys have got the Snoitch.

NotLö
Denver, CO

Denver-based by way of Greenville, SC, NotLö is quickly becoming one of the most exciting producer/DJs in bass music. Her project has been described as amplifying “inclusion, acceptance, tolerance, and love,” and she is determined to not only shatter the mold but pioneer a new definition. Drawing from her experience as a queer woman in electronic music, NotLö has used her platform for a variety of causes – 100% of proceeds from her latest EP ‘Evolve’ went directly to benefitting the NAACP, and her recently curated event, NotLö N’ Friends, donated all proceeds to RAINN – an organization dedicated to aiding survivors of sexual violence. She has received cosigns by EDM heavy hitters such as Griz, CloZee, and TRUTH. She is also the newest artist to emerge with tastemaker label Deep, Dark, and Dangerous. Emphasizing low end bass with distorted grooves, NotLö takes listeners on a dark and ethereal sonic journey – it’s guaranteed that she will continue to expand her influence and impact on her terms.
